1. AWARD ON FACULTY OF MUSIC SKOPJE

The annual award "Tomislav Zografski" - to the best student of the Faculty of music art in Skopje  - Departmant of composition, musicology, conducting and music theory and pedagogy. The Award consists of a diploma and a financial price of € 600.  The annual award ceremony takes place on the 6th of December at the ceremony in the occasion of the day of the founding of the Faculty of music art in Skopje and the students graduation ceremony. The award will be handed out by the president of the board of the Tomislav Zografski Foundation.

The first winner of the Tomislav Zografski Award is Jordanoska Trena, the best student in the Musicology department in the 2005/2006 academic year. The award was presented by the President of the Foundation Panda Zografska Belichanec on December 6, 2006, at the jubilee ceremony in the occasion of faculty of music art’s 40th anniversary. The founders of the Foundation, Panda Zografska Belichanec, Natasha Chokrevska Zografska and Elena Zografska Houthuijzen, the Rector of the State University Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje, Gjorgji Martinovski, the Dean’s Council, professors, students and other guests were present at the ceremony. Evushka Trpkova Elezovikj, Dean of the faculty of music art gave a speech on the topic of the faculty of music art’s 40 years of work.

 


2. AWARD ON THE INTERNATIONAL COMPETITON OF YOUNG MUSICIANS "OHRID PEARLS" (15-21 June)

The Tomislav Zografski Foundation will give awards to the best performance of composition for piano, violin, wind instruments and accordion of composer Tomislav Zografski. The Award consists of a diploma and a replica of old Macedonian jewellery.

10 competitiors performed Zografski's composition (5 violin), 5 (piano).

At the Competition was performed 18 compositions by Zografski for piano and violin. LAUREATE for piano - Celestine Yoong (Malaysia) for SUITE op. 27 (1960). LAUREATE for violin - Dragan Petakovic (Serbia) for PESNA (SONG) for violin solo op. 101 (1982).

The Tomislav Zografski Foundation will give awards to the best performance of composition of composer Tomislav Zografski for all three category of choirs. The Award consists of a diploma and a replica of old Macedonian jewellery.
